i'm looking for estimates on the size of the christian population between 33 and 100 a.d. i have to believe taking in to consideration the mass baptisms recorded by lukus that there had to be more than 144,000 anointed christians in the 1st century.
that's why they took out the "covenant with you for a kingdom" chapter of United in worship of the Only True God book when they republished it under the name "worship the only true God." they realised it is such B.S. to claim that the only hope from 33 c.e. til c.1935 is heavenly and only 144,000 receive that hope... so they took it out. also, there were 2 other chapters that were removed (including one on abstaining from blood).

i've seen a few other ones but this one seems to be the most active.
by far the most interesting and diverse.. there's another one out there on e-watchman but found that one to be quite cheezy.
everyone overuses emoticons for some reason over there.
E-Watchman is the best discussion board out there and no we dont overuse emoticons but when ur feeling a certain way, sometimes it's best to just describe urself visually

my mother told me today that its going to be held a special meeting in all congregations worldwide at march 7.. .
some new information is going to be released, and its very very secret indeed.
we are not supposed to tell anyone what we heard at this meeting to the ones who have the meeting later the same week.
maybe a flash of light made them see that another one of their doctrines needed to be changed to be more like the rest of christendom. maybe we'll be told that jesus actually did die on a cross. or that the 144,000 is actually 144,000,000!! hey makes sense considering the memorial is due another month after

how long was it before you became aware that your activities as a jw were the same this year as last year?.
discounting the regular "5 meetings a week" and "saturday field service", let's look at the average year in a jw's life, beginning with the september service year... september.

now when u go on vacation, instead of finding out where the nearest kingdom hall is, u have to find a computer with internet, so that u dont miss any of the wonderful JWD brain-food. brothers, sisters, do we ever really take a vacation from JWD??? NO WE DONT!!!
i downloaded and heard the "da" talk by littletoe and man all i can say is that it reminded me of that phrase in that def leppard song "it's better to burn out, than to fade away!".

i stumbled across this forum today as i was looking for information online as it relates to johnny carson and the whole john denver thing that was spread around years ago.
it's no surprise that i cant find a single thing on it on the web as i always thought it was an urban legend.
just angers me that things like that spread around and so many people just accept it as truth because a brother or sister told it to them.
